This charming community boasts over 50% green space, abundant wildlife, hiking trails, bike paths, the Bow River, and The Valley Ridge Golf & Country Club. The areas near the Bow River offer natural landscapes that create a peaceful escape from city life. Stunning mountain and city views can be enjoyed throughout the area.

Winsport Canada Olympic Park is conveniently located to the east of Valley Ridge. With easy access to Highway 1, downtown Calgary is a mere 25-minute journey, while Canmore is approximately 45 minutes, and the illustrious Banff is an hour away. For travelers bound for the skies, a swift jaunt onto Stoney Tral unveils a passage to the airport in under half hour.

Valley Ridge Community Association is a committed volunteer group that actively advocates for the community and involves its residents. Various events take place throughout the year, such as Yoga in the Park, Pathway Cleanup, Pumpkin Carving Contest, Family Skate Day, Community BBQ, Community Garden, and Music in the Garden.

The community came together to build The Ice Rink, renowned for its top-quality outdoor ice that includes a Zamboni, as well as the children’s playground. Enhancing the summer activities, a Sports Court was added to the rink, providing opportunities for volleyball, pickleball, badminton, and basketball. Furthermore, an Outdoor Fitness Park was unveiled in September 2016.
